Skin Tightening

To take non surgical face lift to the next level, Titan and 3D Skin Rejuvenation should be complemented with the Liquid Facelift which addresses volume loss, a common sign of ageing.

Scientists recently discovered that light and radio-frequency energy can be used to heat deeper layers of the skin while protecting the skins surface. This heating activates fibroblasts signaling new collagen to form and existing collagen to tighten over time. The most common areas treated are the face and neck, resulting in a firmer, tighter and lifted jowls, cheeks and neck.

The Titan™ utilises a pulsed broadband infrared source of 850 – 3000nm. The tightening effects of Titan™ are immediate but the best results become apparent when the effects of collagen production take place. Titan’s light-based platform provides a more uniform distribution of energy for heating the deep dermis than other energy sources, such as RF (radio-frequency). One can notice the immediate tightening effect after one Titan™ treatment, but best results are seen after three treatments spaced one month apart.

Frequently Asked Questions

Titan skin tightening is a minimally invasive, non-surgical procedure which works by introducing an infrared light to sagging skin. By penetrating the epidermis and heating the collagen it helps to boost the collagen production. Facial skin tightening is noticeable immediately after treatment, making Titan an increasingly popular procedure.

Before the treatment session, it is important that the patient removes any make-up, oils, sunscreens and any other substances on the skin. The Titan skin professional will apply a topical anesthetic cream to the treatment area to help those who have sensitive skin. The length of the treatment can vary, with the Titian skin wand delivering infrared energy and a cooling sensation simultaneously, which keeps the top layer of skin from becoming overheated.

The Titan skin tightening treatments are designed to be as minimally invasive as possible, with the results varying on how loose the skin was to begin with and the overall condition of the treatment area. If the skin is optimal condition the results will be immediate. For most, the results will appear over time with new collagen taking time to grow, an average of three to six months before the skin is noticeably firmer and fuller.

The laser will heat the lower skin levels directly through the skin surface as the top layer is kept cool simultaneously with the hand piece. In turn this means the top layer of skin is not directly effected, with the change in temperature of skin layers well controlled and is only heated to the amount of direct collagen changes required.
