Demand for aesthetic procedures to assist in revitalising skin and improve appearance has skyrocketed compared to previous years, from both men and women.
Too much time in the sun and smoking are the number one causes of premature ageing. Antioxidant enriched anti-wrinkle creams and nutrient enriched skin care products are very effective at maintaining and in some cases restoring your skin. But with severe damage, deep wrinkles, sunspots, acne scars and other skin conditions some of these cosmetic procedures may provide the dramatic change a skin care product cannot. Of course, only you can make that decision.
Our skin is an important indicator of health and in some cases can greatly affect how we feel about ourselves and how we think others feel about us too. There are basic principals of skin care to keep our skin healthy and prevent premature ageing. The younger we are when we begin adhering to these principals the more likely we are to age gracefully with no or minimal wrinkles and damage.
Trying to restore our skin at age 30+ after years of sun exposure and possibly other neglect can be expensive and painful. For some of us, our skin conditions are inherited, it is in our genes; all the more reason to take care of our skin and bodies.
