Vitamin C
Vitamin C is essential for healthy teeth, gums, bones; helps heal wounds, scar tissue, fractures; prevents scurvy; builds resistance to infection; gives strength to blood vessels; aids in the absorption of iron. It is required for the synthesis of collagen, the intercellular cement that holds tissues together. It is also one of the major antioxidant nutrients. It prevents the conversion of nitrates (from tobacco smoke, smog, bacon, lunchmeats, some vegetables) into cancer-causing substances. Moreover, Vitamin C has been shown to help slow the production of hyper-pigmentation (age spots) while providing some UV protection.

Vitamin A
Vitamin A helps with fine lines and wrinkles. Better to improve the condition of your skin with products containing retinoids. Prescription products with Retinoic utilize Vitamin A derivatives to great effect but some people's skin may react with uncomfortable stinging, redness or scaling. Fortunately, a non-prescription Vitamin-A derivative contained in many over-the-counter products can provide much of the same benefits with less risk of irritation and sun sensitivity. However, due to the lower levels of retinoids in some consumer products, it may take a bit longer to see the desired result.

Vitamin A is usually enhanced when using it in conjunction with Vitamin E. it is also known as a powerful antioxidant, preventing free radical damage and is recommended for all skin types especially photo damaged skins.

AHA's BHA's
These are naturally existing acids that have many purposes and functions within the cosmetic realm. They can be used as they are, or mixed with other formulations to add their moisturising and exfoliating effects to a product. They have been known to help normalise skin functions and held reduce the appearance of fine lines; pigmentation and acne breakouts whilst improving skin texture and increasing the firmness of the skin.
